Eris
Username: Diogenessbeast
Character Number: 3
Name: Eris
Age: 36
Rank: jr weyrwoman
Weyr: Antaris
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Pansexual
Appearance:
Eris is not particularly attractive, and it's primarily because of the coldness in her expression. She's about 5'4, though she frequently wears shoes with high soles to make her look larger. Her build is small and compact, with some modest curvature. Her face is small and pointed, with narrow gray eyes and thin lips usually turned downwards in a frown. Her nose is delicate and strait, and would be pretty if not for the fact that it now grows crooked, due to it being broken in her youth. Her hair is blond, and she keeps it to her shoulders, wearing it back in a brush-like ponytail. Her face is dusted with freckles. She tends to wear blue or black clothing that's moderately form fitting.
Personality:
Number one loyalty is to herself. Survival. Selfish, but not maliciously: simply because she must ensure her survival first. Somewhat cold. Apathetic. Decadent. Could care less of the plight of weaker human beings. Hard, harsh woman. Very hard to impress. Mildly asocial. Ambitious in that she wants to live as comfortably as humanly possible, but has no wish to command ranks of other people. Would ideally live alone, if she could manage to secure space and food for Kibeth. Thrifty. Antisocial: doesn't give a jot about what society wants or thinks. Would sell a dragon's clutch if it got her what she wanted. Non-violent. Somewhat jealous of people. Vicious when provoked. Will really only act in defense of herself or her few loved ones. very, very sarcastic and droll. Unconcerned with things that should probably be Serious Issues. Amoral. Somewhat predatory. Manipulative if she cares enough. Calm, collected. Keeps her head in a crisis. Seems to live in a world that's happening at a much more leisurely pace then reality. Tends to see people as statistics. Smart, intelligent, very cunning, good tacticion but mediocre leader: would be able to command military victories nicely from the boards, but would see her troops as simply statistics, and would have no problem sending most of them to their deaths. IF she is concerned with protecting a place or people, she is concerned more with the greater good then individuals (excepting herself). Not evil, not good: true neutral. Tends to obey laws, because it's easier. Will work within systems to bring about change, should she decide to. Ruthless. Ambitious. coldly logical. Good at math and statistics, and figuring out how much supplies are needed. Neither unfriendly, nor friendly. Usually polite. Likely to go with the safer option unless the payout is good enough: for intance, when faced when backing a more powerful army with a malicious cause and a weaker army with a good cause that might bring more benefit to her, will probably back the stronger army because they're more likely to win from a cold-hard-statistical viewpoint (which is how she's best at seeing the world), unless the weaker army offers her something tha tmakes the risk worth it. Hard bargainer. Would make a viciously successful trader. Not cruel unless you directly cross her. Holds grudges. Could be accused of being heartless; her response would probably be along the lines of yes, but nothing's ever given her a good enough reason not to be. Honest. Frank. Blunt. Confident. Perfectly aware of everything she is, and absolutely, 100% okay with that. Does not suffer fools- simply refuses to deal with them. Efficient. Would make an excellent dictator, and things would run gloriously, but her people would hate her. Will not let her impatience get in the way of her goals; will FORCE herself to be patient if she needs to. If she's emotional, she hides it well: seems as emotional as a rock. The only emotion she only shows is rage, and then only in private or when pushed way hard. WILL protect things she holds dear, but keeps the knowledge of what those are few and far between*. Patient when laying a plan, but impatient most of the rest of the time. Self control. Can actually be fairly social and somewhat easy to get along with if things are going her way. Does not drink in public except, perhaps, for one glass of wine: must have a clear head when dealing with other people. Has a professional face. Nonjudgemental: could care less what other people do with themselves and their time. Gritty. Resilient and strong in a subdued way: you wouldn't point to her and go 'that person's strong!', but she'll survive a lot and pull herself to the top on the strength of her ambitions alone. Subtle. Self-control, self-control, self-control: iron will, and self-control.
*On this game, so far, it's only herself and Kibeth.
Kibeth
Bonded'sName: Kibeth
Bonded's Type: Dragon
Bonded's Gender: Female
Bonded's Hex Codes: [tomorrow]
Bonded's Size in Feet: 60'
Bonded's Age: 20
Bonded's Personality:
Calm, collected, Neutral, aware of her surroundings, observant, surprisingly good at understanding people's motives/empathetic, shrewd. Will be good at manipulating people, if she puts her mindto it. Proud, expects great things of herself and her rider, and all of her children, though she will not take a great interest in them once the eggs have hatched. Cool, but not so coldly apathetic as Eris. Fair. Actually a decent leader: is willing to understand people and see them as more then statistics. Brave, fearless. Slightly moral, but is willing to be swayed by Eris's arguments to do amoral things. Even-tempered. Thinker. Generous to her followers (so as to assure their loyalty.) Has a temper: vicious, cruel, and sadistic if provoked past her calmness. Understands politics. As cunning as her rider, even if she seems to present a less disinterested face. Diplomatic. Well-spoken. Esoteric, occasionally makes connections that make people wonder where her head is. NOT her rider's foil, not attempting to fix her rider, will not sooth other things she thinks are diplomatic mistakes her rider makes. Will conduct her own business, separately. Will only involve Eris if she needs to, and will use cajoling. Independent. Brutally honest. Will never tell a lie. Occasionally cruel. Frequently sarcastic. Also likes to live decadently, but is willing to go without much sooner then her rider is. Takes her power seriously, knows it's strength. Fairly responsible. Relatively vain. Willing to talk to the smallfolk to be a good leader/interact with people, but considers herself above them.
Bonded's Appearance:
Kibeth is in the small range for her color, though she does not look it in build. She is neither delicate nor graceful: rather, her build is blocky, and imposing. She's built like a muscular wolf: lean, mean, and strong. Her legs look too long for her torso, and her face's blunt-features look strange considering how long those same features are. All and all, her appearance is strange. One would expect her to be a normal size for a grayscale, or perhaps even large, from her build: only being familiar with the color or seeing her beside her monochrome sisters would reveal that she is, indeed, amongst the smallest of their average growth sizes.

History
Born in one of Antaris's holds, Eris was displeased with the conditions there growing up: they never had enough to eat, and they were treated badly by the dragonriders. She hated it, and she hated the riders even more. However, the young girl was ambitious, and sought a way out of her misery.
The only way she could see out of her misery was the search. The weyr hated conducting it, almost as much as she hated the idea of submitting herself to the weyr, to join them- but it was that, or a life of suffering in the poverty of the hold. She would not tolerate that. Eris was a survivor, and she would claw her way out of the situation even if it meant giving up every one of her ideals, on the surface. She resolved, at the tender age of 12, to make herself available to the search next time it came around.
It took until she was 16 for that to happen: Antaris needed to not have enough of it's own precious weyrfolk to stand, and she needed to know where they were going to be, in order to pull off her plan. Even when the time came, it didn't go to plan: she found them by luck. A great green dragon, and a blue, come to find some candidates who wouldn't sully Antaris's sands too terribly. She shoved her way to the front and stared at those dragons, hoping their eyes would find her with all of her might.. and they did. She was selected as a candidate. She was put on a dragon and taken to Antaris.
There she was horribly treated: she was a holdfolk candidate, unlikely to impress, a shame to the weyr. She held her tongue from the biting responses she wanted to level at their faces, and when hatching day came, she was rewarded. Not only did a shell crack that contained a dragon for her, but that shell contained a grayscale. A queen. It was beyond her wildest dreams, the most delicious irony imaginable: she had not only impressed, but she had impressed of rank, risen herself far above the gross poverty of the holds to stand amongst the highest of the ranks of the hold's oppressors.
They didn't forgive her for that, which is fine. She didn't forgive them for her treatment as a child. She didn't really object to the hold's treatment, mind: it was their treatment of her that offended her.
20 years from that fateful hatching, she still lives amongst them. They still haven't forgiven her, and even were she to rise to be the senior queen by all rights, the rank would probably never be hers. Can't trust a holdbred with such things. Which is fine by her: she performs her duties with a sort of apathetic boredom, and remains at Antaris because it is most convenient, and most likely to remain that way. The renegades? They're cute, but they're idealistic and stupid and small. They will be crushed, in time.
Such is the nature of sad realities.
