Aerie Weyr
With the discovery of the Southern Continent many northerners moved there, promises of more room, adventure and fresh resources compelling many to leave. Naturally this
left the holders struggling to pay their full tithe to the weyr’s. Dragon riders who were misunderstood, or disliked the rules of the north fled to the south. Setting up wings,
weyr’s and their own systems that were much like the North’s.
People who was discouraged by the discontent between the two continents, banded together and continued on searching, eventually stumbling upon to the desert. Some turned
back; others continued through the desert, many perished but to those that did make it, it was worth it. Stumbling upon a canyon, they carved homes, businesses and
everything the needed into the canyon walls. Small herds were kept; few plants grew in the oasis. Other people who didn’t stay in the canyon became traders and nomads
and traveled from the South and North into the West to trade with the people.
Discontent continued to fuel between the North and South both driving their dragons and riders until small skirmishes broke out, dragon and rider alike had been injured, both
sides took losses, but most of all both sides became angry. There were times of peace, and times of outright hostility. Currently the North and South have yet to declare war
on each other, but both sides are trying to amass armies, both land and of air.
Its a fierce power play between the North and South; has been for many turns now. Threats of war are always on the horizon.
Neither the South or the North have paid any attention to the 'Westerners' as they have no dragons or many people.
But those that wish to flee from either side, Northerners to the South, or Southerners to the North are treated like spies, enemies and worse than dirt. With talk of those that
have survived in the west many are hoping it will be their sanctuary, if they can get there.
We will open with out first major plot line of dragon riders defecting to the west; as there are no dragons, or riders in the west yet. We will also need non dragons. One of the
