"How does time work here you may ask? Well, good thing I'm here with the answer.[/size]
We have fluid and bendable time. Jump forward if we want to get to something exciting, slow down if exciting stuff is going on. Some people can have things still going on in the past but squash current things in to them.
"Wait, what?" you might ask.
In other words, don't worry too much about time. You can have threads that started in the past, but make references to current events if need be. We won't make jumps unless we ask you guys; and we'll only move seasons or notable months forward if we think its necessary for a plot or to get to something exciting. We'll also hold off on moving seasons or months if we have something really exciting going on.
Now, there will be a firm time we are in, but you are welcome to start things and have them keep going, even if we do a jump in the mean time. You could even have a reference to current events, if you wanted.
Note: Lets say you have a thread that started in March, maybe where in the kitchen two Riders have a conversation. Come April maybe we jump a few months ahead in 'Official'-time. You can keep this Riders-in-the-kitchen thread going! Also, they can make references to current April events even if you started it in March and much time hasn't passed in the thread. However all serious or plot important events must take place within our current time frame. Otherwise, things get messy.
We'll always make sure to inform you if and when we are considering a time-frame change.
To quote my good friend The Doctor:
People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint - it's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly... time-y wimey... stuff."
