Character
Username: Raii/Sari
Character Number: 1
Name: Myika
Age: 21 Turns
Rank: Tealrider/Junior Weyrwoman
Weyr: Antaris Weyr
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Bisexual, leaning to women
Appearance:
Myika is a small, modest-looking young woman. There is nothing showy or meretricious about her. She is short, at just under five feet, with a narrow frame. Her curves are almost nonexistent; her figure, as well as her features, can be described as pixie-like. She has tiny fingers and hands, which are quick and agile. The way she walks only adds to the tiny, surreal quality of her form. This woman seems to float, moving as though she were truly as dainty and delicate as she looks. Still, Myika will never be described as anything but plain. Her features are incredibly average, which makes her face blend together with that of others. She has a faint, subtle tan and dark brown eyes, with subtle features. Her hair, too, is brown: a lighter, mousy brown, but brown nonetheless. She often wears it tied back.
Personality:
Much like her dragon, Myika lacks the strength so often attributed to queen and their riders. She has let others make decisions for her all her life, and the habit rings true. She has yet to start forming her own opinions, or if she has, she has yet to realize it. In this way, she is quite the late bloomer, though as she matures, this may change. She has the potential to grow into a stronger, more mature woman, but unfortunately, she needs to be led in this direction. She is very much a follower, often looking to higher ranks to make decisions she could make herself. Needless to say, Myika is quite nervous in positions of leadership; when put in such a situation, she is known to make frequent slip ups as well as stutter.
Myika does struggle with forms of anxiety in other ways. She often feels nervous around new people, and tends to isolate naturally. She is a quiet, reclusive young woman, preferring to keep to herself than socialize. This woman is extremely shy, but also self-conscious. She is quite the perfectionist, in every definition of the word. Not only does she constantly worry about doing things right, but she constantly looks to others for approval. As a result, her only feeling of self-worth stems from what others think of her. Myika is constantly worrying about doing everything right, and berates herself harshly should she fail.
Very much the average young woman, Myika easily blends into a crowd. Someday, this may change, but this young woman is still searching for herself. How she defines herself changes on a daily basis, but she has not yet discovered the vibrant, resilient woman she aspires to be. She is still a naive, innocent young woman, searching to understand herself and her world, yet struggling to do so. Although she is easy to manipulate and far too trusting for her own good, Myika is shockingly intelligent. She has a rational, strong mind. She is able to recognize this as one of her strong points.
Most of the time, this woman is gentle and good-natured. Like her dragon, she is kind and soft-mannered, with a caring attitude. She does, however, have a few strong, passionate moments that show her potential to become her own person. At times, she will form extremely strong emotions or opinions, an oddity for her, and feel the need to express herself...in any way that will get her heard. Also, she has a bit of a temper, even if it is extraordinarily rare, that is known to emerge over injustice. (Perhaps because her anger is so exceedingly rare, it often comes as a shock.) Whether she is truly angry or just expressing her opinion, Myika is known to apologize profusely for any emotional outburst...even if they are as "emotional," as expressing her views.
Bonded

Bonded's Type: Dragon
Bonded's Gender: Female
Bonded’s Color: Teal [Rank Breaker, Queen rank]
Bonded's Hex Codes: [000808] [00ffcc] [05edff] [388e8e]
Bonded's Size in Feet: 59 feet
Bonded's Age: 2 turns
Bonded’s Clutchrate: 97%
Bonded's Personality: Sweet, full of life, kind, hates to see things hurt, but has a great sense of what needs to happen... Even though it may not be what is right. She is guillible and easily persuaded, but not stupid.
For a weyrqueen, Loraleth is shockingly alienated from politics. She tries her best to avoid them, in fact. In politics, no matter what, someone gets hurt, and Loraleth hates to even think of anything else being hurt. There's no real defined line between right and wrong, so she just tries not to think about such things. This teal has a very strong moral code, believing that there is a defined right and wrong, so when things prove otherwise, she is unsure of how to cope with them. She has a strong sense of justice, but when there are gray areas and fuzzy lines, she turns to the stronger minded, more decisive dragons for answers.
Loraleth's strong code of justice stems from a strong sense of empathy. If she didn't have queenly duties, this dragon would make a fine searchdragon (though perhaps in another era). So strong is her empathy that she hates seeing other things hurt, be they human, dragonoid, or animal. She seems to truly feel for others, and can barely stand to listen to sad stories without internalizing them. Loraleth struggles around hunting, because she hates seeing her prey suffer, and even more, she hates causing this pain. Still, Loraleth knows what she has to do, and she does it anyways. Just because something is wrong, unfair, or hurtful to another, does not mean it doesn't need to happen nonetheless. Although she is able to muddle through such situations for her primal needs and beliefs, she struggles when it comes to rockier ground.
One might be surprised to see a dragon such as Loraleth at Ataris weyr. In truth, she doesn't really know anything but Ataris. She is, without a doubt, a follower. She does as she is told, and tries not to question such things. Although this dragon is far from stupid, she is gullible and easy to persuade. Perhaps the reason behind this is a strong idealism. She believes that everyone always has the best intentions, and those that speak passionately must be those with the answers. She has nothing to speak passionately about, no strong opinions that she is willing to stand by, so she simply assumes that others know best.
Regardless of her affiliation, Loraleth is a kind, gentle soul. She is always willing to help someone in need, no matter who or what they are. She is a sweet, innocent being, one who would readily sacrifice herself to save another. Her kindness knows no bounds, no limits. Even if she were to meet someone that has been branded as "wrong" to her, such as a holder, she would not hesitate to show them the same respect and kindness. Although a bit reserved and nervous, she is full of life and energy. She looks at each new task with renewed joy and excitement, ready to take on whatever comes her way.
Bonded's Appearance: Although Loraleth is a teal, she is much larger than the average teal. In fact, she is approximately as large as a bronze dragon, and nearly as large as a queen. Her size, as well as clutching ability, easily pegs her as a rank breaker. Although she is smaller than the majority of golds, her rank in the weyr is that of a queen. Regardless of Loraleth's attitude, she holds herself as is befitting a queen: erect, graceful, and regal. In shape, Loraleth is slender and elegant, with a slightly serpentine body. She is quite lovely, though her shape is very impractical. She lacks the bulk often attributed to golds and, as a result, often struggles with the days leading up to clutching.
Perhaps the most stunning thing about Loraleth is her coloring. No color dominates over another, and they all blend together for a hypnotic result. Her wings and back are predominantly blue, a rich, almost cyan color. Her wing tips fade into seafoam green in what is best described as an opalescent effect. Her underbelly, from the bottom half of her muzzle to the tips of her tail, is colored with the same shade of green. Her face and feet are marked with the blue color. The rest of her hide is a dark, midnight blue. If not for the other brilliant colors on her hide, she would be able to disappear into the night sky. Her coloring accentuates her most elegant features; the green shows off her delicate, swan-like neck, and her long, limber wings are shown off by their coloring.
It should be noted that beauty is Loraleth's one physical strength. She is not a strong dragon; in fact, she is relatively weak for one of her size. Similarly, she does not have the stamina attributed to queens, and as a result, can be caught by browns just as easily as bronzes. (In her maiden flight, partially due to inexperience and partially due to her quick tiring, she was caught by a large blue.) Although her form makes her somewhat more agile and quick than other large dragons, her prowess is far from unmatched. In fact, given her other shortcomings, her abilities in this area are somewhat disappointing.
History
As the first and only daughter of Ikaron and Mysa, Myika's name was formed from the start of both parents' names. Her family lived in Anataris Weyr, his father as a guard and his mother as a dragonhealer. From the start, Myika was taught to earn her keep in any way possible. With the condition of the holds, Mysa and Ikaron taught their daughter to become important to the weyr, lest she end up in the cold. From a young age, the girl learned to hunt and fight. She was taught various skills, until she had at least some knowledge from every practical craft.
Myika never knew why things were the way they were, nor did she understand much about life outside the weyr. She grew up sheltered and innocent, as well as kept too busy to worry about such things. At the age of twelve, she took her place on the stands. She knew it was best to try her hand at impressing earlier, rather than be left standing and need to rely on the skills she had developed. She spent a great many years on the sands, and began to work even harder when things began to seem bleak. It wasn't until the age of seventeen that she really began to lose hope.
At nineteen, there was a fateful hatching. The clutch, although laid by a gold, was relatively small. Still, there was one large egg, one that many hoped would contain at least a bronze...while the majority of other eggs were medium to small. When the egg revealed nothing but a Teal, many were shocked. Still, rank-breaking dragons were not unheard of, and this teal would, without a doubt, be a clutcher. After a moment of shocked silence, the crowd watched the "queenling" parade through first the females, then the males, with growing worry.
After looking at the last of the males, the Teal shocked everyone by dashing back to the females. She sat in front of one specific female, her eyes whirling with apologetic oranges and yellows, but also with the rainbows of Impression. Oh, I'm so sorry, mine! I thought it was you, I just wanted to check and be sure. I didn't mean to doubt you. You still love your Loraleth, right? crooned the dragonet.
From that moment on, Loraleth and Myika were one. The pair loved and cared for each other. For a while, it didn't even occur to Myika that she had finally earned her place in the weyr. She was just happy to have her dragon. The two struggled a bit through weyrlinghood, but eventually, they managed to graduate. After a turn or so, Loraleth rose for the first time, an experience that was truly frightening for Myika. She was caught by a large blue, and a small clutch followed.
